The flock

A small, growing flock of tools.

Every kabootar runs entirely in your browser. Open it, do the thing, close the tab. We never see your files.

Why kabootar

Tools should belong to the people who use them, not the company that built them.

Most online tools work by uploading your stuff to someone else's computer. Kabootar tools work the opposite way — they run inside your browser tab. Your data starts and ends with you.

Local-first, always.

Your file is opened, processed, and saved in your browser — nothing is uploaded. We literally can't see it.

No signup. No email. No nothing.

Open a tool, do the thing, close the tab. No accounts, no popovers asking for your work email.

Fast because there's no round-trip.

No upload progress bars. No 'processing on our servers.' Edits happen the moment you click.

Open source. Verifiable.

Every kabootar is open source. Read the code, audit the privacy claims, run it locally if you want.

kabootar · noun · हिन्दी — a homing pigeon. It always comes back to you.

FAQ

Reasonable questions, real answers.

Is it really free?
Yes — no accounts, no ads, no upsell. The studio is a side project; the tools are built to be useful, not monetized.
How is this actually private?
Your files never leave your machine. Every tool is a static page running JavaScript inside your browser tab. No upload step, no server processing — so there's nothing for us to leak.
Does it work offline?
Most tools keep working after the page loads. Drop in an image with your Wi-Fi off — Pixel still works.
Why "kabootar"?
Kabootar (कबूतर) means pigeon in Hindi. A homing pigeon always finds its way back to its owner — same idea, but for your files.
